Sometimes Axegrinder mourns the passing of Oscar Wilde when in need of his wit and guidance.
Yesterday, for example, there was a Twitter spat between Jeremy Clarkson and Piers Morgan over which of them is the most objectionable person in British public life.
Presumably, if dear Oscar was not currently residing in a Paris cemetery he would have a bon mot along the lines of “the unspeakable in pursuit of the inedible”.
