Business publisher Centaur is reported to be close to appointing former chief executive of EMI Music UK Andria Vidler as its new chief executive, Bloomberg reports.
Centaur declined to comment on the report, which comes as former chief executive of the group Geoff Wilmot seeks to put together backing for a take-over of the business publisher.
Wilmot revealed his take-over plans on 25 September following a rapid rise in the Centaur share price. Under stock market rules, Wilmot now has until 22 October to make a formal bid or else withdraw.
