Over at the Sunday People, Sue Douglas has wasted no time getting stuck in to her task of turning round the once mighty Sunday title.
The former Sunday Express editor (who is in charge of Trinity Mirror's new Sunday Brands subsidiary) has apparently already made an impact with this weekend's record-breaking Nigella splash. Red-top aficionados will have spotted a similarity to the agenda-setting style of a certain other Sunday paper, now sadly no longer with us.
And word reaches Axegrinder that emulating News of the World-style stories isn't the only way Douglas is looking to turn back time.
To prove that she really does intend to hark back to the good old days, she told a meeting of People reporters that “we need to act like Leveson never happened”.
Reports that Douglas has been spotted in Canary Wharf with fingers in her ears shouting “LaLaLaLaLaLa” at the top of her voice are yet to be confirmed.
