City AM is launching a new 60-page luxury lifestyle magazine called “Bespoke”
The news comes just weeks after the paper announced that circulation has risen by more than 50 per cent over the last year to 131,194, following its expansion into commuter towns surrounding London.
The free daily said it had increased revenue from luxury brands by 60 per cent over the past two years, and that this was now the fastest growing advertising sector for the title.
The new 60-page magazine will be edited by City AM lifestyle editor Steve Dinneen and is aimed at the paper’s “core late-20’s to mid-40’s professional, affluent readership”.
The first issue of Bespoke will launch on 19 September and will be distributed with the newspaper over three days (Wednesday-Friday). A further issue will be published in December before going monthly from January 2013.
In a statement the paper said: “The luxury lifestyle magazine will place a premium on fashion you can wear, restaurants you can eat at, films and exhibitions you can go and see. The first edition will also feature an interview with movie star Clive Owen.
“This is the latest brand extension for City AM which earlier this year launched the new high-quality recruitment service City AM careers.com and its first trading and investment conference City AM Active Trader. City AM will also host its third City AM Awards on 17 October.”
Harry Owen, commercial director of City AM, said: “We have responded to demand from both readers and advertisers to increase our lifestyle content and we're in an unrivalled position to launch the magazine with a distribution footprint that crosses London from Saville Row to Shoreditch.
“Bespoke’s content will continue to play to core City AM strengths and reflect the readers’ lifestyle: cosmopolitan, fashion-conscious, affluent and time poor.”
