Nope, Manning was offensive to everyone

By Axegrinder axeblog

The Daily Telegraph’s obituary of Bernard Manning asserted that “the only groups to escape his aim were the disabled and that trusty staple of the stand-up comedian, the mother-in-law. Mother-in-law jokes, he piously maintained, are offensive to older women.”

We now turn to the Daily Mail, which on the same day ran an obituary penned by Manning himself: “I’ll never forget the day I took my mother-in-law to the Chamber of Horrors in Madame Tussauds. One of the attendants whispered to me, ‘Please keep her moving, we’re trying to do a stock take’.”
