The Daily Mirror boasted an exclusive interview with Pirates of the Caribbean star Keira Knightley on Monday in which, among other things, she chatted candidly about her mental state:
“Do I get upset when they say I’ve got a mental disease? Well, it is a disease, isn’t it? Self-inflicted starvation or making yourself vomit or shit to deprive yourself of food. I don’t think anyone would be particularly pleased about that. So no, no, no. I have never had a problem and I hope never to have a problem.â€
Readers who also take The Observer might have felt that they were losing their minds slightly themselves.
When asked by Chrissy Iley in the Observer Magazine, on 6 May about whether she had an eating disorder, Knightley said:
“Do I get upset when they say I’ve got a mental disease? Well, it is a disease, isn’t it? Self-inflicted starvation
or making yourself vomit or shit to deprive yourself of food. I don’t think anyone would be particularly pleased about that. So no, no, no. I have never had a problem and I hope never to have a problem.â€
