A judgment is expected early this afternoon from the European Court on Mirror Group Newspapers’ appeal against the Naomi Campbell House of Lords privacy ruling.
The court has been looking at the issue of costs. MGN was incensed that it was handed a costs bill for £594,000 from Campbell’s lawyers Schillings after representing her at the two-day House of Lords appeal.
In 2004 Campbell won the case by margin of three law lords to two, successfully arguing that the Daily Mirror was wrong to publish pictures of her leaving a Narcotics Anonymous meeting.
