Dr Oliver James, author of parenting books and a TV psychologist, has complained to the BBC Trust about his treatment on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.
James accused host Jenni Murray of being ‘very unprofessional’during a recent debate on the show (available here on the iPlayer), repeatedly interrupting him and giving fellow guest Justine Roberts, co-founder of Mumsnet, preferential treatment, the Telegraph reported.
He told the Telegraph:
‘I am very cross because I feel I was misrepresented as someone who was critical of mothers, which is just not the case, and that was compounded by editing that made me seen unreasonable.
‘The interviewer was extremely unprofessional and the whole tone was personal and snide.”
