Veteran BBC journalist David Dimbleby has taken a swipe at the corporation’s director general Mark Thompson whilst speaking at the Charleston Arts festival in East Sussex, the Daily Mail reports.
He said:
We have this great cry in the BBC under our revered leader [director general Mark Thompson], which is “one BBC”, but in truth nobody ever has the slightest clue what anybody else is doing.
‘We discovered, after we’d been working on Seven Ages Of Britain for a year, that Neil MacGregor was doing those 100 objects and it was a complete surprise.’
