The Sun continued its recent advertising blitz with a one-minute long TV ad which aired on Saturday night at peak time during Britain’s Got Talent on ITV.
The paper currently has its top columnists plastered on billboards and busses across the country. The latest ad features Sun columnist and former England manager Terry Venables singing Elvis hit “I can dream” backed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on the turf at Wembley.
Before filming the ad, created by agency WCRS, Venables apparently underwent several weeks of intense training with a professional vocal coach to enable him to “perform the stirring gospel-inspired hit to a professional standard”.
Decide for yourself, but I suspect Venables may need to stick to the punditry.
