By Press Gazette

First News, the newspaper aimed at children, is planning to take on the BBC by launching its own weekly internet-based television current affairs show aimed at 10-15 year-olds.

First News was launched in 2006 by editor Nicky Cox and former Mirror editor and Press Gazette proprietor Piers Morgan and, according to the Guardian, boasts 763,800 readers,

Cox said the new show is “a cross between GMTV and BBC Breakfast but for young people”.
