US newspaper publisher, The Journal Register Company, owner of 20 dailies and 160 others, has emerged from its six months Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after securing new financing.
The publisher has cancelled its stock, disposed of its shareholders, and become a private company controlled by its lenders.
