Janet Street-Porter, editor at large of the Independent on Sunday, is one of a number of new guest columnists at Candis, the women’s monthly magazine.
Starting this month, Candis is introducing ‘guest celebrity’columns. Street-Porter will be joined by Anne Diamond, and Duncan Bannatyne, among others.
The magazine also has a new agony aunt – Denise Robertson, from ITV’s This Morning.
Candis editor, Debbie Attewell, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Denise to the highly talented Candis team. Her unique package of warmth and wisdom is exactly right for our readers. Denise will be a real asset to the magazine.
‘Our January issue has had a significant revamp and I’ve added some strong voices to Candis.”
Candis was launched 46 years ago to raise money for cancer research, and ten per cent of subscription income is donated to charity – which has earned more than £52m so far.
In the first half of 2008 it had a circulation of 296,103, according to ABC.
