Daily Telegraph obits editor Andrew McKie is leaving the paper after seven years in the post, the Independent’s “Feral Beast” media diary reports.
It says he is being replaced by former foreign correspondent Harry de Quetteville. Motoring editor Peter Hall is also said to be leaving the paper.
McKie would have been one of the few pre-Barclays era section editors to survive the upheavels which have followed their 2004 take-over of the Telegraph titles.
Very few senior editorial executives from the Conrad Black era still remain.
