Q gives a taster of pending redesign

By Rachael

Bauer Media’s music monthly, Q Magazine, has announced an extensive list of new contributing editors ahead of the title’s redesign scheduled for this autumn.

Along with poaching Zoo’s deputy editor Matt Mason to the newly created role of senior editor, new hires include Miranda Sawyer, Sylvia Patterson and Billy Bragg.

Paul Rees, Q editor-in-chief, said to expect something entirely different from the redesign, out at the end of September. ‘The aim is to give Q all the requisite swagger and confidence of a market leading magazine, whilst at the same time setting it completely apart from the rest of the music market. I think it’s very much safe to say that people can expect something that’s both completely fresh and also entirely different.”
