James Murdoch, the newly installed head of News Corp’s operations this side of the Atlantic, is building up his team and has created a new tier of management, according to the FT’s People column this morning.
The column says Murdoch junior has hired pay TV veteran Mark Williams – formerly of Sky Italia – to be his chief operating officer.
Meanwhile, Les Hinton, who has moved from News International to head up Wall Street Journal publisher Dow Jones, has brought his chief financial officer, Stephen Daintith, to New York with him.
