Sun Online revises geo breakdown of January web traffic

News International has told ABC that the geographical breakdown it submitted for the Sun Online traffic in January’s ABCe figures was incorrect, the circulation auditing body said in a statement.

The percentage of UK-based unique users at Sun Online has been revised upwards to 40.65 percent, meaning that its proportion of overseas web users was revised down to 59.35 per cent.

The percentage of UK page impressions was also revised upwards to 57.23 percent. Overseas users accounted for 42.77 percent of page impressions.

The total of 13,322,535 million unique users and 250,138,195 page impressions at Sun Online was not affected by the amendments to the web traffic audit.
