The merged Thomson Reuters will continue to use the Reuters name for its newswire, but could call its new financial data division Thompson Reuters Markets.
The decision comes following a lengthy consultation with branding agency Interbrand, according to the Financial Times.
A new orange logo for the merged company will be revealed when the £8.1 billion deal is finally completed.
