Tesco has banned all products made of cotton from Uzbekistan after a Newsnight expose on the use of child labour in its harvesting.
Newsnight’s Simon Ostrovsky discovered that state sponsored child labour was being used to produce cotton that went into the manufacture of clothing and homewares on sale on the UK high street.
