The FT’s Lex column has questioned News Corp’s argument that putting James Murdoch in charge of its business in Europe and Asia will bring “more cohesive management”.
Describing the position as a “vague, roving non-job”, the FT says the reshuffle “is merely a device to prove to investors that the heir apparent can cope with a big shadow portfolio, before he moves on to the real thing”.
