The South Wales Echo has has published an obituary of John O’Sullivan , its former sub and reporter who died on New Year’s Day in Cardiff.
O’Sullivan, who died just after his 73rd birthday, left school at the age of 14. He became a reporter for the RAF magazine while in the military and later joined the Barry Herald as a reporter in 1956. He became the paper’s editor two years later. He later move on to the South Wales Echo as a sub-editor and reporter in 1959, before joining the Daily Mail as a reporter for South Wales in 1966.
