Fabio Capello in family privacy plea

By Dominic wireposts

The Football Association has written to national newspaper editors urging them to respect the privacy of new England manager Fabio Capello.

It has particularly asked that the media does not report on his wife and other family members, the Guardian’s Media Monkey reports today.

The Guardian media diary also claims that Channel 4 News anchor Jon Snow has fired off a missive to colleagues warning that technical problems mean “We are regularly missing major stories.” He cites broken TVs, no radio reception and “unacceptably poor” wire services as problems.
