Jessica Burley, managing director of the National Magazine Company, is to leave the business early next year.
Burley, who has held several senior roles with NatMag since joining eight years ago, intends to step-down at the end of January to pursue other opportunities.
She said: ‘I have had a fabulous time at NatMag but I am ready to do something else. I plan to take some time to decide what I’m going to do next; there is significant change in the industry and the wider business environment that will provide new challenges and opportunities.
‘I will miss my colleagues at NatMag hugely; it has been an honour to work with such talented and creative people.”
Burley was appointed managing director of NatMag in January, 2006, prior to which she had worked as group publishing director for its Women’s Home and Lifestyle Group, as chief operating officer of ACP-NatMag.
Arnaud de Puyfontaine, chief executive of NatMag, said: ‘We are sad to see Jess go. She has been pivotal in the development of the business and her expertise and guidance have been invaluable.
‘On behalf of everyone in the business I would like to thank Jess for her dedication, commitment and sheer hard work.
‘On a personal note I would also like to thank her for all her help and support in my first semester at NatMag. She will be greatly missed.’
