Former News of the World US editor, Georgina Dickinson, has joined celebrity news and pictures agency Splash as news editor of its Los Angeles bureau.
Dickinson, who left the NoW in June after more than ten years working for the Sunday redtop in the US, is one of a number of new appointments at the agency.
During her stint in the US, Dickinson broke a number of high-profile stories including Olympic gold medal winner Michael Phelps being caught smoking a bong.
She will be joined in Los Angeles by former Daily Mail showbusiness reporter Jo Clements, who is returning to Splash.
After a year in London Clements will rejoin the agency’s Los Angeles operation, where she’d previously worked for two years.
In addition, former Sunday Mirror reporter Grant Hodgson will now head up Splash’s news operation in Australia.
Splash has also extends its global footprint by opening a new office in Tokyo.
Eric Munn has moved from the agency’s Los Angeles bureau to become its first Asia-based journalist.
