Singer-songwriter Peter Andre has launched a legal battle for libel damages over a front-page story in The People.
Andre, who has hardly been out of the headlines since his marriage to model Katie Price imploded earlier this summer, is demanding unlimited damages from publisher Mirror Group Newspapers.
He is suing over the splash headed: “Peter & the Jordan Lookalike”, which appeared on 31 May this year and continued on an inside page.
Andre is also seeking an injunction banning repetition of the allegations at the centre of his claim.
His legal battle has been assigned to procedural judge Master Rose who will handle initial stages of the case.
