PSPRare Publishing has been appointed to produce the annual magazine for Pride London, the charity behind the UK’s annual Pride Festival and Parade.
The 140-page Pride London Magazine, published annually in June, will feature information on all Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transexual (LGBT) Pride Festival events in London including the parade, which takes place through central London, and associated events such as the Cabaret stage in Leicester Square.
It will have a nationwide distribution of 100,000, targeting the LGBT community and it’s supporters, with the intention of driving awareness and creating enthusiasm for Pride London.
Marc Bates, publisher of Pride London Magazine, said: ‘We are thrilled to be working with the Pride team to create a medium that will ensure that more people than ever participate in and experience the fun and empowerment inherent in this annual demonstration of community spirit.”
PSPRare publishing’s art director, Colin Goad, added: ‘Cutting edge design is second nature to this audience and as such it’s great fun to be able to really push the boundaries of magazine design.”
Contract and consumer publisher PSPare Publishing also publish Heart and Soul magazine for the British Heart Foundation and the customer magazine for Somerfield supermarkets.
Andrew Murray, communications director for the charity Pride London, said: ‘We are very pleased to be working with PSPRare Publishing, their experience with titles such as the Lord Mayors Show Guide makes them an excellent partner for another of London’s greatest annual events. Also their remote digital proofing system really benefits the team here who work from several different offices.”
