Michael Williams, who left his position as deputy editor of the Independent on Sunday last year to write a book, is to become a senior lecturer in print and online journalism at the University of Central Lancashire. Williams, formerly executive editor of The Independent and head of news at The Sunday Times, is to continue his role as readers’ editor at the Independent on Sunday.
