Chief executive of Five Jane Lighting has joined the Trinity Mirror board as a non-executive director.
Lighting joined Five in 2003 and was previously chief executive of pay TV business Flextech.
She is the chair and a Fellow of the Royal Television Society and the Royal Society of Arts.
She was also governor of the National Film and Television School.
Chairman of Trinity Mirror Sir Ian Gibson commented: ‘We are delighted that Jane is joining the Trinity Mirror Board. She brings a wealth of experience from a broad media background which will enrich our organisation.”
