A former associate editor of the Daily Star, Kay Goddard, has been appointed editor of celebrity weekly Hello!.
Goddard, joined the magazine six months ago as deputy editor, and is replacing former editor Ronnie Whelan.
Goddard has 15 years’ experience on magazines and newspapers, having previously worked as woman’s editor and features editor of The Sun, contributing editor of the Mail on Sunday, and spend time at the People and the Daily Mirror.
In 2004 she left her post as assistant editor on Sainsbury’s Magazine to become deputy editor of IPC’s weekly real life title Chat magazine.
She is known in the industry for discovering the Daily Star’s top glamour photographer, Jeannie Savage, and subsequently launching the careers of Melinda Messenger, Kelly Brook and Jordan.
