Sky News is cutting back its Irish news service, launched two years ago at a cost of £2m, with the loss of 24 jobs. The specialist Irish bulletins launched in 2004 but failed to attract enough viewers.
Former Sunday Telegraph chief foreign correspondent, Toby Harnden has been made US editor of the Daily Telegraph.
