Former Press Gazette broadcasting reporter Steve Busfield is the new editor of MediaGuardian.
He takes over from Lisa O’Carroll who guided the Guardian’s media news website through its first five years.
Busfield will be in charge of a six-strong
reporting team and has been the Guardian’s executive editor, business,
since January 2004.

Busfield started on regional newspapers in Stoke
and Nottingham before joining Press Gazette as a reporter in 1993. He
became news editor of Broadcast magazine in 1994 and joined the Daily
Mail as showbusiness correspondent in 1996.
