Time Europe has appointed former Reuters journalist Andrea Gerlin as a staff writer.
Originally from Texas, Gerlin has worked as an editor on Reuters’ world desk in London and was previously London bureau chief of the Philadelphia Inquirer for three years.
While at the Inquirer , she reported from 20 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan and the Balkans.
Gerlin will be based at TIME’s international headquarters in London and will report to Time Europe editor Eric Pooley.
In another development, Time Europe’s Bobby Ghosh is to be based in Hong Kong and Baghdad, where he will play a major role in reporting on events in Iraq. He rejoins Time Asia after two years as senior editor of Time Europe, where he launched the Global Adviser section and was responsible for editing www.europe.com.
