Xbox magazine XBM has revamped its news coverage as part of an overhaul aimed at strengthening its position in the market.
The revamp includes several new sections and a 16-page mini magazine dedicated to Xbox Live gaming.
Reviews and previews are expected to remain core to the editorial as well as the latest listings on Xbox Live.
There will also be monthly coverage of the ‘Live’ scene, more interaction with readers and news on the best upcoming releases.
XBM is published by Highbury Entertainment, the new name given to Paragon Publishing after its £32m takeover by Highbury last July.
Highbury said the revamp was designed to reinforce its position as the UK’s biggest selling unofficial Xbox magazine. The title will also feature international content supplied by the US edition, published by ZiffDavis.
Nick Roberts, managing editor of Highbury Entertainment, said: “The XBM team has done an excellent job of creating a magazine that Xbox gamers really want to read, and this has been reflected in our recent ABC result of 30,036.”
The first revamped issue kicks off with an exclusive look at the longawaited Burnout 3.
It is due to go on sale in a super, A4 perfect-bound format on 4 March, priced £3.49.
