Total Carp hooks a new editor

By Press Gazette

Northamptonshire-based angling magazine Total Carp has taken on a new editor.

Marc Coulson previously worked as editorial assistant at sister title Advanced Carp, but after just 18 months in the role the editorship arose and he took the bait.

Coulson said: “I am delighted to be taking over as editor and look forward to the challenge of driving Total Carp forward.”

The opportunity was created when the monthly title’s previous editor, Jim Foster, was promoted to editor-inchief of publisher DHP. Foster will take control of DHP’s portfolio of seven titles, working closely with the editorial and design teams.

Foster said: “Marc is good at his job and I can assure the trade that the editorship is going to be in good hands.”

Also joining the team at DHP is former England match fishing international Dave Harrell, who will edit Match Fishing. Harrell has been writing for angling publications for more than 20 years.

He said: “I love the magazine and now I have the honour of editing it.

Moving into the publishing side of angling has been a natural progression.

“With my all-round knowledge of all aspects of angling from the manufacturing side of the industry to the big name anglers, I hope to make it a great read for all who buy the magazine.”
