Iain Martin, deputy editor of Scotland on Sunday, has been announced as the new editor of The Scotsman following the departure of Rebecca Hardy.

Martin first arrived at Scotland on Sunday as political editor, from The Sunday Times, Scotland. He had a brief spell on The Scotsman as assistant editor (politics) before returning to SoS as deputy editor last January.
