The Cumberland News took the top honour at the Regional Press Awards at London’s Hilton Hotel on Friday. Having been unanimously voted Weekly Newspaper of the Year, Keith Sutton’s title beat the Camden New Journal (Free Newspaper of the Year), the Yorkshire Evening Post (Evening Newspaper of the Year) and the Sentinel Sunday (Daily or Sunday Newspaper of the Year) to become Regional Newspaper of the Year.
