Business publisher Reed Business Information has reported improved revenue and profits (on an underlying basis) for the six months to 30 June.
The business publishing arm of Reed Elsevier reported total revenue down 18 per cent to £286m, reflecting the fact that it has continued to sell off many of its titles over the last year.
Disposals completed over the last 18 months which have impacted the results include: Totaljobs, Variety, Electronics Weekly, Caterer and Hotelkeeper, RBI Australia, RBI Spain, and RBI France.
Discounting the affect of these disposals, operating profit grew 14 per cent to £55m providing an operating profit margin up 1.1 per cent to 19.3 per cent. RBI’s remaining brands include New Scientist, Expert HR and Flightglobal.
