Climate protestors rail against ‘sensationalist’ Standard

By paulmcnally

The climate-change protesters who set up on a field outside Heathrow airport last summer are “embroiled in a bitter row” with the London Evening Standard, after the paper claimed the group were plotting a series of security breaches at the airport.

According to the Independent on the Sunday, the Press Complaints Commission will next month rule on whether the front-page story, headlined: “Militants will hit Heathrow” breached the editors’ code. Managing editor Doug Wills has defended the coverage.
