Mandy Gardner

Mandy has worked for over 30 years in a variety of media: she was a senior broadcast journalist at the BBC, features editor at Times Higher Education Supplement and is currently managing editor at WM People as well as continuing to work in higher education. She worked for six years as a researcher at International PEN, campaigning for writers and journalists who were imprisoned, attacked or killed in relation to their writing. Mandy has personal experience of press abuse after her daughter Anisha was killed and the video of her death was posted online the following morning by the Daily Mail.
