Total Film editor Mark Dinning has been announced as the new editor of Empire.
Dinning first joined Empire as a staff writer in 1999 before becoming news editor and then features editor and leaving in July 2003 to help launch Zoo.
Dinning said: “I am thrilled to be returning to both Emap and Empire. I feel that the former is very much my spiritual home while the latter is a world-class publication without peer in its market. It is also an awesome opportunity to be on board at such an exciting time in the movie industry.”
Outgoing Empire editor Colin Kennedy has been made digital creative director of Emap Performance.
