Tindle buys property title

By Press Gazette

Tindle Newspapers is paying £1.4 million for one of England's biggest and oldest property newspapers, the Oxfordshire Property Weekly, which publishes three weekly editions.

Brian Doel, group managing director of Tindle, said: "The staff are certainly doing a great job. All of them are staying on with us and we shall continue in the same offices for the time being."

Sir Ray Tindle (pictured), chairman of Tindle Newspapers, said he was delighted with the outcome of the talks with the previous owners, Milestone.

"We are glad to welcome this 20-year-old paper and its staff to our family."

The deal is subject to the agreement of shareholders of Milestone, which is a public company. The directors of Property Weekly are to be Sir Ray Tindle, Brian Doel, and Wendy Craig.
