Times chief business commentator David Wighton is joining the WSJ's London team as City editor.
Wighton is a former New York bureau chief of the FT and has been business and City editor at The Times. He has also worked at the Telegraph.
A spokesman for the WSJ said: "David's focus will be on the intersection of finance and politics, the ups and downs of the UK's domestic financial services sector, and the business of global investment banks in London. He will also write a weekly column on the finance industry for [weekly title] Financial News."
