Weekly listings guide Time Out Magazine has promoted publisher Mark Elliott to managing director, allowing him sit on the Time Out Group board.
Elliott will join the six other board members, plus one non-executive board member from Credit Suisse, and will be directly involved in the strategic development of the business.
Former Empire publisher Elliot began his career at Best magazine in the early 90s, working his way up to assistant editor in 1997 before he moved to Emap. There he was made the consumer division’s managing editor, before taking on his first publishing role as business manager of Elle and Red (both later sold to Hachette Filipacchi).
Elliot Joined Time Out Magazine in January 2008 as publisher.
