Blendon Communications has appointed two editors ahead of the launch of a Spanish magazine this spring, writes Ruth Addicott.
Lisa Isaacs, right, has been promoted to editor of its property magazine What House?, replacing George Sell, who has moved across to edit Viva España.
The bimonthly is due to launch on news-stands nationwide in April, targeting those interested in moving to Spain and buying property there. It is expected to take a more in-depth look at the property, traditions and culture of mainland Spain, rather than being dominated by the lifestyles typified by the touristy beach resorts.
Isaacs has been deputy editor of What House?, a consumer title dedicated to building property in the UK, since June 2002, having previously edited Your New Home, a homes title published by the independently owned New Concept Group.
She said there were no immediate plans for a revamp, but she hoped to expand the team over the next 12 to 18 months.
“Interest in property and its associated media is at an all-time high, so this is an exciting time for me and for What House?. We will probably have a refresh during the summer months,” she said.
Sell will continue to edit Show House as well as the launch. Blendon Communications also publishes Homes Overseas.
