Sir David Bell will use Stationers' Hall lecture to explain why newspapers still matter

Former Leveson Inquiry assessor Sir David Bell is to deliver the annual Stationers' Hall lecture on 18 March.

Last year Sir David felt the full heat of press criticism when the Daily Mail accused him of  being part of a liberal conspiracy to undermine the popular press.

Former chairman of the Financial Times Sir David will address the subject of "Why newspapers still matter".

The evening will start with a drinks reception at 6pm followed by the lecture at 6.30pm and then an (optional) dinner.
