Screen Digest is latest in Elstein’s board portfolio

David Elstein has been appointed nonexecutive chairman of Screen Digest, the media research, publishing and consulting company.

The appointment has been made as part of an expansion programme into online research.

Elstein has previously worked as chief executive of Channel 5, head of programming at BSkyB and director of programmes at Thames TV. Allan Hardy, managing director of Screen Digest, said: “We are delighted to welcome David Elstein to our board.

His outstanding abilities and deep understanding of the industries we serve will be of enormous value to the development of our business.” Elstein said: ‘”I am pleased to be joining the highly effective team at Screen Digest, and will work hard with them to expand the scope and impact of their products.”

He is also chairman of the British Screen Advisory Council, Really Useful Theatres and the National Film & Television School Foundation. He is a non-executive director of Sport and Leisure, NTL and Kingsbridge Capital.
