Global business information company Reed Elsevier reported half year profits up 9 per cent to £845m today on revenue up 5 per cent to £3,053m.
Reed Business Information, which includes UK-based B2B titles such as Flight International, saw revenue increase 1 per cent year on year to £347m and adjusted operating profit increases 19 per cent to £63m.
RBI said it expects to see continuing strong growth in the data services part of its business and weakness in magazines.
Revenue for the UK wing of Reed, which includes New Scientist magazine, was £474m for the six months to 30 June compared with £453m in the same period last year.
