Trinity Mirror launches free weekly

By Press Gazette

Trinity Mirror has launched a 92 page free weekly newspaper in Daventry in the Midlands.

The Daventry Post will go out to 10,000 homes in Daventry, Long Buckby, Braunston and Weedon and can be picked up in 12 other villages.

The Post includes a 28-page property section and has a dedicated website, part of icnorthants, which will be updated on a daily basis.

Series editor of the East of England titles who is responsible for the launch Richard Howarth said: ‘It is very much a Daventry newspaper. We’ve determined from the start to fill the paper with very local news only. The general opinion, from businesses and the local authority, is that it’s great to see a new newspaper in the town.’

Trinity has launched new weekly papers in Kenilworth, Warwick, Leamington and Rugby over the past four years.
