Former editor Liz Page takes National Trust role

By Press Gazette

Former editor of The Press in York Liz Page has been appointed by the National Trust as general manager of its York area properties.

Page was most recently regional managing director of Archant Life magazines for the north of England and was previously editor then managing director of The Press.

She said: “I had spoken to a former industry colleague who is now doing a similar job over in the North West and she thoroughly enjoys her new job. Living and working in York, and being a National Trust member – when I saw the advert on the Trust’s website I knew it was too good an opportunity to miss.

“There are a number of similarities with my new role from my former life – managing multiple sites with different disciplines – so much of what I have learnt in the publishing industry I can transfer to the Trust. The Trust, as with publishing has a long, established history with strong traditions, but is also an organisation that’s comfortable with change and moving to meet customer expectations.”
