The People’s chief sports writer Andy Dunn has been poached to do the same job at the News of the World.
Dunn is leaving the People after 13 years.
News of the World sports editor Paul McCarthy said: ‘I’m delighted to have Andy on board. He is recognised throughout the business as being one of the best reporters of live events, his match reports have an unrivalled combination of insight and humour and he breaks big stories. He deserves the biggest platform and that’s what he will get at the News of the World.”
Before joining The People Dunn worlked on the Crewe Guardian and the Liverpool Daily Post.
